Mandate

iMMAP is an international not-for-profit organization that provides information management services to humanitarian and development organizations, enabling partners to make informed decisions that ultimately provide high-quality targeted assistance to the world’s most vulnerable populations.

We support humanitarian actors to solve operational and strategic challenges. Our pioneering approach facilitates informed and effective emergency preparedness, humanitarian response, and development aid activities by enabling evidence-based decision-making for UN agencies, humanitarian cluster/sector leads, NGOs, and government operations.

iMMAP has been at the forefront of information management support for humanitarian clusters (UN and International NGOs): Logistics, WASH, Health, Protection, Education, Nutrition, Camp Management, Food Security, and Gender-Based Violence.

Involvement with SBP

Since 2012, iMMAP has been an official Standby Partner to United Nations agencies. iMMAP maintains a roster of rapidly deployable information management experts to provide surge capacity support in emergency operations. The location, duration, and tasks of these deployments are defined jointly with our partners.

iMMAP has been contributing and engaging with the SBP Network in the following ways:

  1. In-kind contribution to the SBP Network through the development of the SBP Network website.

  2. Participation and active engagement in at least one of the existing Working Groups.

  3. Participation and engagement at the Annual Consultation and Mid-Annual Consultation.
